ActTrader’s platform has a very fast reaction time and doesn’t take too long to load all of its features whenever it is launched.
Requotes rarely happen even when there are rapid movements in the market.
Placing an order is also very straightforward and the trading system responds very well to any command or activity.
The overall platform design is not just pleasing to the eye but is also well-structured.
It’s very easy to customize the workspace thanks to the tabs and the detachable windows.
The buttons on the upper part of the screen are graphically represented for easier recognition and all the important visuals are placed in a very organized manner.
All the necessary commands can be easily found on the FXVoyager Toolbar which will be discussed later on in this review and it doesn’t take too long to get used to the well-skinned interface.
The real-time charts are well-detailed and can be used for making informed trading decisions.
They feature more than 30 technical indicators like the candlestick, bar, line chart and even an option to create your own.
Located on top of the chart is the toolbar which has a number of useful features such as zoom, print, save and draw tools.
It’s possible to create objects in the charts and link them with other charts as well.
And since the price alerts, orders and positions can also be accessed from the charts, trading directly from it is allowed by simply clicking anywhere to place an order.

Using this organized menu, browsing through the application is stress-free since you can access all the windows and tools directly from this section.
Under each tab is a logically grouped set of commands that are related to a unique set of actions such as trading with charts or particular modules like Options and Forwards.
ActTrader comes with a number of interesting features. With this platform it’s possible to trade CFDs, ETFs, currencies and forex options.
Easy customization is also allowed while the one-click trading functionality gives the opportunity to open and manage positions quickly.
Another notable feature is the ActFX which is a very useful tool for evaluating charts, back-testing strategies and automatically opening or closing positions.
The Price Alert is also very handy as it has an instant notification whenever the value on an instrument has touched a rate that has been pre-set.

It’s easy to monitor all the activities with this platform.
All the open positions can be viewed from the Summary window which shows an overview of a particular account or even all accounts.
Open positions are displayed per instrument while the Net Profit/Loss can be seen in the window’s title bar.
The Account Information window shows all the necessary information about the account and there’s also an option that combines multiple accounts into a single section for better monitoring.
It displays the Trading Accounts which are the regular trading accounts and the Group Accounts, a virtual account that represents a set of accounts that trade like it is a single account.
ActTrader has been very successful in developing a full-featured platform where traders can execute their trades and manage their accounts minus all the complexities of currency trading.
Its intuitive user-interface is easy to get used to while the charting package that they offer features a comprehensive set of functionalities that are definitely useful for making informed trading decisions.
